I’ve received a lot of inquiries about cruising since the CDC’s recent announcement against cruising. My husband and I have sailed on 3 cruises since the end of October and I can personally tell you that cruise lines are going above and beyond to protect their crew and passengers against Covid. The cruises we've been on were not even at 50% capacity and the protocols in place are there to protect everyone onboard! A ship that has less than 1% positive cases onboard is not an "outbreak" as the media loves to claim. Covid is everywhere...whether you are at work, on an airplane, at a football game, or going to the grocery store. When you go on a cruise everyone onboard is not only vaccinated, but has also tested negative for covid 48 hours prior to getting onboard. Where else can you get that kind of protection right now? As we know, covid can still show up on a ship, but I'll continue to say that cruising is one of the safest ways to travel and I support the cruise industry 150% and look forward to our next cruise!!
One of the most asked questions I receive is, “Why do I need travel insurance?” Here are a couple of reasons why this is so important and why I highly recommend you always purchase travel insurance, no matter how big the trip is.
1.Travel is an investment and should something come up to where you need to cancel your trip, travel insurance would protect your investment!
2.When traveling in a foreign country, medical care can be expensive and is not typically covered by your health insurance. Hopefully your travels will go smoothly and without incident, but if there was an accident or you become ill, travel insurance will help cover the costs!
3.If you are on a cruise and need to be flown off the ship via helicopter to a nearby hospital, it is extremely expensive! Insurance will help pay the costs for this type of evacuations as well as medical care should you need to visit the infirmary onboard.
4.With COVID, if you test positive and have to quarantine, that is an unexpected cost for hotel, food, and transportation that you will have to cover, unless you have travel insurance.
5.There’s nothing quite like having a trip ruined due to missing a flight, having a flight delayed or cancelled, or your luggage lost. Travel insurance would protect you in all of these situations!
A good rule to remember: Better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it!

Many people ask me why they need a travel agent. Many people think travel agents are a thing of the past because everyone has access to the internet. What people don’t realize is that travel agents are constantly educating themselves on the newest trends, policies, and latest happenings in the travel world. Travel is constantly changing, especially now with Covid! As a travel agent, I have resources not available to the general public; therefore I can often times get better pricing for you including additional amenities added to your vacation. When something happens on your vacation (flight is canceled, missed connection, transfer doesn’t show, etc.)…I can step in and get things taken care of for you. Vacation should be a time of relaxation, with no stress…I can make sure this happens for you!
Here is what you can expect when you book with me….
